Class “Captains” Help Keep LDC Alumni Connected

dsc_0001The Steering Committee and alumni of Leadership Douglas County have begun a new program to   provide benefit to all alumni and increase attendance at LDC/LDCA events. It relies on the help of Class Captains (17 classes) who are willing to reach out to their own former classmates when events come up, to encourage their attendance and increase participation in alumni activities and LDC recruitment efforts.

As fellow LDC graduates, we know that life can get pretty busy.  We all have good intentions of participating in networking opportunities, but sometimes may feel uncomfortable making the effort if it’s been awhile since we last attended an event, or even if we are unsure of who else will be in attendance. Plus, it’s always nice to see a familiar face when walking into a large gathering.

That’s why we feel strongly that our fellow alumni would be more likely to attend events if a personal invitation is extended, rather than just receiving an open invitation through an email blast.

The individuals below have already agreed to serve as a Class Captain or Co-Captains.

With their help, andDSC_0696 others who we hope will soon step up, we will be able to continue to provide an excellent leadership program to new participants and our valued alumni.
